Rules
Contestants must have a minimum of two original songs to enter.
Contestants may be accompanied by one additional artist. Both may use a musical instrument as long as they are listed on the entry form in advance.
The competition is open to all ages, however Tomahawks does not censor any singer-songwriters lyrics. Attend at your own discretion. Attendees under the age of 18 may enter and attend at the discretion of their parent or guardian.
The event will be held Thursday August 7th, Friday August 8th, and Saturday August 9th. The first performer will take the stage at 7:00pm each night. The first round will be Thursday August 8th and Friday the 9th and will feature up to 25 contestants for a total of 50 to enter. Each performer will be limited to a maximum of 10 minutes on stage to introduce themselves and preform two original songs. The 12 highest scoring contestants of the first two nights will advance to compete in the finals on Saturday, August 10th.
The entry fee is $20.00 and is non-refundable. Each application will be reviewed (incomplete applications will be ruled ineligible) Entries will be accepted until August 8th or until 50 contestants have Selected. We reserve the right to decline any entry. If a complete application is submitted and declined is the only instance a entry fee will be refunded.
Prizes will be as follows:
1st Place $2,000
2nd Place $500
3rd Place $250
4th through 10th place will receive gift certificates.
The performer with the best stage presence and crowd interaction from the first two nights will be awarded $250. This award will be chosen by Tomahawks.
The winners will be determined by a panel of four judges.
Immediate family members of the Judges, owners, employees or volunteers of Tomahawks LLC or any subsidiaries are not eligible to compete in the contest.
